Update on Herceptin Follow Up Pill

We (My Doctor, My Wife and I) decided to not do the additional year of the new Herceptin like pill that is new to the market.

Nerlynx (chemical name: neratinib) was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on July 17, 2017 to treat early-stage, HER2-positive breast cancer for an extended period after surgery (doctors call this extended adjuvant therapy) in people who have previously been treated with Herceptin (chemical name: trastuzumab).

There seem to be some issues with its efficacy (it shows only a 2% improvement in one test and had a host of severe side effects). Some of you may want to do a bit of research online and consult with your Doctor about this new pill. It has been banned in much of Europe. Remember, I am not giving medical advice but am only telling you what I decided. Any decision on treatment should be between your Doctor, Your Family and Loved Ones and Yourself.
